Foreword
I have always wanted to be a writer. In a world where there are no bills to pay and routines to maintain, I probably would have been one. I feel even more strongly about this now. There is something raw and unadulterated about writing that was stripped away from it due to recent online fads that I want to bring back, and this is my attempt at doing so.
In my pursuit of different, perceivably better versions of myself, I have decided to set aside a few hours over the weekends to understand how I feel about different topics through typing. In the interest of the faithful delivery of my thoughts, I plan to release excerpts of my writing here, as these thoughts occur to me, while I simultaneously compile more polished versions into a more methodical presentation.
There are a few reasons why I have decided to commit to writing, especially in this format. I like to open myself up for scrutiny, so the primary purpose of this work is for it to be a window into me. I am particularly averse to demagogy, especially in literary formats, so I think it is worth noting at this point that the intent behind my writing is for it to be a cathartic exercise. I would be elated if you can find a piece of yourself in it (and I would love to hear more about that too), but this is not what I am going for.
I do not want to give away too much regarding the contents of the book. The idea of writing a book first came to mind when I had an unfortunate encounter when I was alone, and in the middle of a transitory phase in my life, with certain developments making me question what we claim makes us Human. As it turns out, the same exact scenario would happen again. No matter who you are, there will be parts of my writing that will hit close to home for you; rest assured that this is part of the experience, and this is what people are learning about the Human from their interactions with you.
I hope you enjoy my work even a fraction as much as creating it changed my life for the better.
